Our summer camp is an enjoyable riding intensive beginner through advanced program. We are extremely hands on and we teach the children everything from A-Z horse care in a very fun way!

Our summer camps book up quickly – be sure to register early to secure your spot!

Activities

A fabulous confidence building week!

All Riders:

  • Lots of quality ride time and under saddle lessons

  • Grooming/bathing/feeding the horses

  • Learning parts of the horse, conformation faults and weaknesses, vet care, hoof care

  • Each camper is assigned a horse for the week and they learn to care for it as if it were their own! For the younger campers we have an aid pair up and assist with everything

Beginner Riders:
Beginners learn how to grab a horse confidently from their field, lead them into the barn and put them on the cross ties.

They also:

  • Work on various mounted balancing exercises and challenges

  • Participate in mounted training games and lessons that encourage soft hands and seat

  • Multiple mounted confidence building and suppling exercises

Why is our camp special?
Our beginner program at camp, and in our lesson program, is NOT a follow the leader type lead line program where they sit there as the passenger while the sea of campers overwhelm the instructors. I’m here to tell you that you will find plenty of camps like this in our area that are very expensive and not a beneficial and enriching experience for your child. We are different – our riders learn complete independence in a very confident way and they actually learn to RIDE!

Intermediate-Advanced Riders:

  • For the more experienced riders we focus on fine tuning their flat work, riders core strength and suppleness both on the flat and over fences. We work on various course work in the ring and cross country, and achieving more upper level dressage movements. We have a lovely cross country field with built in jumps on the farm and we also have hundreds of acres available to ride out on.
